Water damage during installation and curing (2 hours) is NG
If it is wetted, it may result in uneven application, distorted curing, and inadequate water repellency.
In my case, I have hardened into a very small, single location distortion, so I am also presenting an example ofthis.

I have applied 6 different types of Silazane 50 to a total of 5 cars and they all coated beautifully. The application is easier than expected, and even a beginner will not fail (if you remember the precautions in this article, you will have no problem).

The most important factors in choosing a coating are durability and cost.
The Silazane 50 I installed had a durability of water repellency on a yearly basis. If the durability is not on a yearly basis, the real durability of the water repellent will be at the one month level and will need to be crushed and reapplied one day each month.

Failure if there is water damage (case in point)
The most common cause of failure in the installation of Silazane 50 is water damage.
Please avoid this one at all costs.
Definitely do not get wet during installation and curing (2 hours).
If it gets wet, it will look like the image above. I also did it without noticing.
Silazane 50 reacts chemically with moisture in the air to form glass.
As a result, when wetted, they form snoring or the ingredients are washed away in the first place.
- Thoroughly wipe down the car wash.
- Wipe with a dry towel as soon as it gets wet
- Construction in the morning on a sunny day
- Night dew and condensation are the enemy (no night construction)
Be very careful about the above points.

Designed to prevent inorganic ion deposits from adhering
Silazane 50 is a hybrid of inorganic and organic polySilazanes.
Since organic components are designed to form on the top surface, inorganic stains such as ion deposits caused by rain are less likely to adhere ( according to the formula ).
Of course, water repellency will cause water droplets to stand up and become ion deposits when they dry, but they are much harder to adhere to than inorganic coatings.
Unlikely to cause unevenness in construction
Silazane 50 is a spray application, yet the solvent is easily extended.
Therefore, it is less likely to be applied unevenly compared to general glass coatings.
In other words, it is very easy to handle and recommended for beginners.
Silazane 50 is highly recommended because it is one of the best coatings in existence.

Curing time is by far the easiest to ensure.
The curing time for a typical glass coating is 12~24h. During that time, it must be protected from water damage, and you can imagine how difficult that is. It must also be protected from night dew and condensation.
Silazane 50, on the other hand , cures the surface in 2 hours, followed by complete curing in about a month.
In other words, water exposure to the extent of rain after 2h of installation is not a problem.
It is safe to say that only Silazane 50 can be applied if there is no indoor parking space, because it cures faster at a level unmatched by ordinary glass coatings.

The top grade Diamond 200 (5 layers) also requires a 2-hour curing time: 2 hours for the continuous application of up to 4 layers, and 2 hours for the application of the 5th layer.
Other coatings should be removed.
If applied over other coatings, they will fail.

A car wash every two to four weeks and annual maintenance every six months to a year should be sufficient.

Silazane 50 is expensive for a DIY coat, but..,

Short durability is a disadvantage
Basically, it is durable only on a yearly basis for store construction and on a monthly basis for DIY.
However, Silazane 50 is still potent for bees after about a year.
We did not see a big difference between EX Keeper and Silazane 50, as EX Keeper would be ruined in a year if annual maintenance is skipped.
Many reviews say that Keeper is not durable for the price. Other DIY coatings I have applied lasted only a few weeks.
Coating Eventually, the cosmetics will tell the difference.
In the end, it comes down to cosmetics.
Once the installation is completed, we concluded that it would be better if the price is significantly lower with water repellency and durability at the level of full-scale store installation (comparable to EX Keeper).
Since EX Keeper is recommended annually for annual maintenance, the significance of continuing to apply this product has diminished.
For this reason I switched from EX Keeper to Silazane 50.

Points to keep in mind every time construction is performed

Silazane 50 chemically combines with moisture in the air to form a glass component.
Therefore, too little humidity will not result in glass.
Even on days with low humidity (about 50%), such as in winter, about 3 hours (usually 2 hours) of curing is sufficient.
In summer, on the other hand, construction in the shade is ideal.
In fact, this is the only coating that can be safely applied in winter because the curing time is extremely short among real glass coatings.
If you miss a combination of solvents to mix (more than 2 layers)
This is for multi-layer coatings such as Silazane 50 layering kit and Diamond 200.
This is me, too,
When I applied the 4-layer coating to Fit by combining the layering kit + topcoat kit, I made a mistake in the order of the layering kits (the first and second layers of the layering kit are different solvents). (The solvents in the layering kit are differentiated for the first and second layers.)
When the first layer was installed, the first layer A liquid + second layer B liquid was mixed at the beginning.
The second layer was done with that much, but, as it turned out, there were no problems.
My Fit, it shows pretty amazing water repellency.

Common failures of Silazane 50

Give it a quick wipe with a dry cloth and reapply the wet area.
That is enough.
Simply spray the wet area again with Silazane 50 and wipe it down with a construction cloth.
Silazane 50 Review of effectiveness after installation
If it is all cautionary tales but ineffective, then I wouldn’t buy it, would I?
It is okay. Silazane 50 has almost no weaknesses and is very effective.
In other words,the cosmetics are far more cost-effectivethanvariouscoatings.
- Curing time is 2 hours, strictly water-proof
- Basic surface preparation is not required.
- Outstanding water repellency and high durability for 3 years
- Polysilazane base, a high-grade material at the store construction level
