Diamond Plus, a higher grade of Silazane 50, forms a very dense, high-quality film.

Extremely durable
Since the Diamond 200 that has already been installed is tremendously durable, we have determined that the durability of Diamond Plus, which has the same film, can also be expected.
I was honestly very surprised that Diamond 200 did not lose any water repellency even after surviving the midsummer, when the coating tends to be ruined.
In fact, we used to apply EX Keeper, but that thing doesn’t last a year. The price is double, and the maintenance cost is 27,000 yen per year, so the cost performance is not good.

Immediately after the installation of Nurteka body
Diamond Plus will become shinier and shinier immediately after application.
Furthermore, the more the film is applied, the deeper the gloss becomes.

The major advantage that I have gradually noticed over time as I have used the Silazane 50 series over a long period of time is this.
Since the entire body can be applied, unpainted resin and rubber moldings can also be applied without concern.

Construction can be completed in one day, even in winter.
Even though it is a 3-layer coating, it takes less time than expected.
The coating itself can be completed in half a day, so it takes only one day including surface preparation.
However, if it is winter, the weather is bad, or it took a long time to do the groundwork, etc., please divide the work into two days without overdoing it.

If the surface preparation takes longer than expected, postpone the installation to the next day.

Three disadvantages and cautions of Diamond Plus
Weaknesses and cautions also exist in Diamond Plus.
Please make sure to keep this in mind, as some of them can lead to irreversible cases, such as construction failure. (I have installed many of the Silazane 50 series, and I am summarizing from my experience.)
Rest assured that there are no disadvantages that would ruin the productability, such as a lack of effectiveness.

Water damage during installation and curing
This must be prevented.
Glass coatings harden through a chemical reaction with moisture in the air.
Unnecessary water damage should certainly be taken care of, as it will distort and harden if left unattended and reacts to it.
Installation at night is not recommended due to night dew and condensation.

No revivifier for the third layer (topcoat).
This is a drawback of all products with Silazane 50 topcoat, but there is no topcoat revivifier.
The only countermeasure is to protect the topcoat regularly with a special maintenance agent, but the material is somewhat different from the topcoat. (We inquired officially.)
Therefore, regular maintenance should be performed.

If you want to increase the glass film, you need to remove the third layer.
Diamond Plus is 2 layers of glass + 1 layer of topcoat.
If more glass is desired, the topcoat must be removed.
However, the Diamond Series comes with an ion-deposit agent, which is a polishing agent, so there is no problem if you use it to prepare the surface.
Silazane 50 should be implemented in the following order
- EX Keeper or other commercial products + Silazane 50 -> x
- Remove organic layer such as EX Keeper + Silazane 50 -> ○
- Silazane 50 + Silazane 50 Diamond Plus → ○

Should I buy Diamond 200 or Diamond Plus?
Which is better, the top-of-the-line Silazane 50 or the Diamond 200? If you ask me, I would answer Diamond 200, but that is if you are a car enthusiast.
Diamond Plus is more convenient in terms of hassle and cost. Yet, it also promises the highest class of effectiveness.
On the other hand, if any of the following apply to you, you should choose the Diamond 200.

The difference in construction effort is greater than expected.
The difference in time and effort between 3 and 5 layers is larger than one might think.
I have applied Diamond 200 L to the Civic, but I have applied the hood, roof, and windshield twice per layer.
Using even excess solvent in this way takes more time than expected.
Furthermore, 2h of drying is required before topcoating and 2h of drying after topcoating.
If the curing is completed by nightfall, the Diamond 200 is assumed to be divided into two days.

Cost difference The numbers are significant.
Diamond Plus can be installed in the store construction class.
The difference between this and the Diamond 200 is 22,000 yen, which is how we see it. Of course it is very much worth it.
Personally, the EX Keeper I had installed on my first Civic cost 130,000 yen and the water repellency did not last a year, so I feel that even Diamond 200 is a bargain price.

Of course, the 5-layer Diamond 200 is more effective than the 3-layer Diamond Plus.
The reason is clear: the surface irregularities are accustomed and smoother with five layers than with three layers. This reduces friction and water is less likely to be trapped.
Since it improves not only water repellency but also durability and gloss, we can say that Diamond 200 has a better quality as a coating.
Glass coatings can be made much more effective by increasing the number of layers.
