I have applied from the base grade Silazane 50 to the highest grade Diamond 200, and all of them are more effective than the price. Especially, Diamond 200 provides another dimension of water repellency.
Construction in hot weather can be done early in the morning & in the shade to avoid mistakes.
Also, the topcoat model is slightly cheaper than the topcoat model, although the same effect can be achieved with Silazane 50 and a maintenance agent.

Personally, however, I have the impression that it is more durable if a topcoat is applied. However, it is recommended that the topcoat be applied after sufficient layers of glass have been applied.
Nevertheless, it cannot match the quality of Diamond Plus or Diamond 200.
If you want to be thorough and seek ridiculously strong water repellency, the Diamond Series is the only choice.
How effective is the topcoat model? Installed and reviewed
The topcoat model is also very effective, as is the Silazane 50 (normal model).
Compared to Silazane 50, further gloss and durability could be obtained by applying a topcoat.
Water repellency is quite high.
The topcoat model was also very effective in repelling water.
This photo was taken after rain, but this effect can be achieved simply by installation.
Silazane 50 can be applied not only to the body but also to the entire car at the same time, including rubber moldings, window glass, and plastic.
The body is of course intensely water-repellent, but the rubber moldings are also beehive.

Is the topcoat model recommended?
It is recommended in the following cases
- If the coating is only 1 layer of glass + topcoat
- When using the Silazane 50 topcoat model for additional coating or maintenance of Silazane 50 (← highly recommended, this is how I use it)
If you want more glass layers, do not buy as the first layer.
Since glass will not settle on top of the topcoat, it should be considered to be used for the top layer.
Recommended use of topcoat model
It is best to use a model like Silazane 50 + Silazane 50 + model with topcoat.
This is a total of 4 layers of coating: 3 layers of glass + sacrificial coating.
In general, glass coatings are best multi-layered in this manner.

Of course, the effect is quite high even if only one layer of glass is needed.
Silazane 50 is by far the easiest to handle among the coatings currently on the market (including shop-installed), and yet it was very effective.

Topcoat model installation procedure
The construction procedure consists of the following steps
- car wash
- Surface preparation with ion-deposit agent (if previously coated)
- Car wash (not necessary if ion-deposit agent is not used)
- Wipe down (thoroughly)
- removal of fat
- 1st layer application (30 minutes)
- Drying for 2 hours
- Second layer applied (30 minutes)
The topcoat model is unique after the first layer application.
There is only one point to note
Water damage during installation and drying is strictly prohibited.
As stated in the instruction manual, if it gets wet , promptly wipe it with a dry cloth and reapply the area.

In my case, I am applying two additional layers before the first layer of the topcoat model because I am also applying the layering kit at the same time.
car wash
The first step is to wash the car.
- When priming, use a commercially available car shampoo.
- If you don’t have a primer, just use the shampoo that comes with it.
Clean off mud and insects from the car.
Do this while showering regularly to prevent water stains from forming on the windshield and other surfaces.
Surface preparation with ion-depositing agent
If you want to remove water stains, etc., or if you had a previous coating, please perform this service.
Can be selected when purchasing models with topcoat.
Remove some of the moisture from the body with a towel and rub the surface with a stroking motion.
This will remove water stains, etc.
If it was previously coated, it is OK if it becomes wet without repelling water.
Washing the car again
This is a car wash to remove ion deposit agent.
Now with the included car shampoo.
Wipe thoroughly (important)
Wiping down the car after washing is extremely important. Remove water thoroughly.
Curable coatings that mix two liquids react with moisture in the air to cure.
Therefore, if the surface is not wiped up properly, it will harden distortedly.

Degrease if you choose the degreaser included option.
Degreasing agents are not essential, so do not bother to select them.
1st layer application
Mix liquid A, B and hardening accelerator in a spray bottle.
Then 3~4 pushes of it are applied to the crosses, using a 50cm square as a guide.
It stretches quite well and wets easily and evenly.
If water drips from the leftover wipe, remove the water with a new dry cloth and reapply.
If it is the size of a fit, size M is sufficient. It contains a little more, and the roof and hood could be coated twice.
Drying for 2 hours
Although it is not mentioned in the instruction manual for the topcoat model, it is safer to let it dry for 2 hours after the first layer is applied.
The surface will harden in two hours, so it will be glossy.
Top coat applied
Apply the second layer in the same manner as the first.
The construction process and precautions are the same as for the first layer.
When done, let it dry again for 2 hours.

Top Coat Maintenance
There are two types of maintenance. Regular maintenance will prolong the water repellent effect.
- Routine car wash (ideally once a week, at least once a month)
- Application of special maintenance agent (every 2 to 6 months)
The topcoat-specific maintenance agent cannot be used once the topcoat is removed.

The special maintenance agent is designed to protect the topcoat.
It is still good that maintenance costs are by far lower than those of store construction.
